Green Carpet Learning Studio offers a variety of School Year Labs designed to inspire curiosity, strengthen essential academic skills, and nurture a love of learning. Most labs are offered as Saturday Studio experiences, typically lasting one hour. Selected labs also extend into weekday sessions after school, to provide additional opportunities for personalized learning.
With a maximum of four students per group, every lab combines hands-on activities, active group engagement, and individualized support in a calm, engaging environment.
Every student starts from a different place. We teach at their pace, build on their strengths, and help them move forward to the next challenge.
Each lab includes only a few students, giving every child the opportunity to participate, ask questions, and receive the best support.
Students build independence, communication skills, resilience, and the confidence to take on new challenges both in school and beyond.
Wonderful World is one of our oldest programs. It is an early childhood exploration program for children ages two through four. Through play and exploration of the world around them, children engage in experiences that support the development of fine and gross motor skills, cognition, speech and language, early literacy, and social and emotional development. Each group develops naturally through the interests and curiosity of the children who participate.
This lab is designed for children in Kindergarten through Grade two and focuses on building and strengthening early literacy mainly in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Through conceptual learning, hands-on experiences, creativity, social interaction, inquiry, and play, children explore ideas, make connections, and develop strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics while cultivating while cultivating key habits and dispositions that sustain learning throughout a child’s educational journey.
The Elementary Problem Solvers Math Lab is designed to complement students’ classroom learning throughout the school year. Building on the mathematical concepts introduced in school and the foundational understanding students have already developed, the lab provides opportunities to reinforce, extend, and deepen mathematical thinking through exploration, investigations, projects, games and hands-on learning experiences. Students make connections between mathematical ideas while engaging in problem solving, reasoning, collaboration, and applying mathematics in a variety of contexts.
